Fabs: One of the closest match I played recently - Tom is great player with strong serves and fast down-the-line shots. Impossible to break. He made me run all the corners despite the wet-ish court. After saving a match point in the second I found a way to play more on the front foot and put more pressure on Toms game. It paid off giving me back more volleyes and smashes and a chance to the super tie break.

Tom: Very well played by Fabio. I just edged the first set and had a couple of chances in the second, including a match point but from that point on, Fabio raised his game to a different level, making no almost no mistakes and getting everything back. I didn’t play too badly although my approach shots and volleys were as bad as they usually are. Fabio outplayed me and deserved the win.

Leigh: We braved the ice and were rewarded with a lovely game in the sun. Great to meet and play Angus

Angus: Great game - Leigh’s drop shots and consistency was just too strong for me. Next time!

Artur: Usually our game is long 3setter with very long time break but I guess lack of playing for Steve and my good service helped me this time to secure the win. See you next time mate :)

Steve: Fun game with Artur. My serve was off but we had some great points in there. Well deserved winner!

Sri: Thanks Stephen for coming all the way. It was a great game, some good rallies but a lot of laughs too. Hopefully we can play again.

Stephen: Sure, you play really good tennis, I underestimated you. It was fun playing you and will sure play you again. Nice meeting and playing you Sri.

James: A game to dust off the cob webs for Alejandro after some time off tennis. Great to get out and play on a very slippy court. Some great backhand winners. But consistency paid dividends in the match today. Thanks for a good one. Let’s play again soon

Will: Great game with Finn as always! The weather is great despite of a little wind. The second set was so tight that we both exhausted ourselves. Hope to play again Finn again!

Finn: Great ball striking from Will, was very close and could've gone either way in that second set (which was especially stressful, with Will making a comeback from 2-5, and saving a couple of set points in the tie break) - looking forward to playing again soon!

James: Thanks for the game Josh. I was a bit out of practice but it was a solid all round  performance from Josh this afternoon and a well deserved win. Good luck in the rest of the league.

Josh: Really enjoyable match with James. His backhand slice gave me no end of problems but I was lucky to catch him when he hadn't played for a bit, so he was still a bit rusty. Good luck for the rest of your matches James!

Troels: Probably played best game of tennis I’ve played in the last x Spin leagues - bit unfair as I’m definitely not actually as good as I was today !! Definitely was wet and windy.

Fraser: Wild and windy weather for tennis! Troels served and played very well today.

Wilson: Lovely game on indoor courts, which was a treat. David has a lovely slice on his first serve, and equally consistent ground strokes. We played some great tennis at points, and never held back on rallies! We played first to 9 games as we were short on time, and I managed to win 9-3 in the end. Thanks again for the game David, and thanks for being a gent with the court situation😅 Play again soon!

David: Yes, was a good game and nice to be inside as it chucked it down. I think we both lacked consistency, but a well deserved win for you even though your stonking first serve was mostly going in the net. I look forward to another match in December!
