Cecil: Great to play again. It was a tough match with some nice, long rallies and good winners on each side. Had to have high levels of concentration throughout! Thanks for the match today.

Philip: Cecil was in excellent form and I really struggled to provide much of a competition for him today l. However we did have some good rallies. Lovely to play you again.

Emma: Great match, very competitive. Some brilliant shots from Ben had me in the first set. I had to knuckle down to grind out the win. Close contest in uplifting sunshine!

Philip: An absolute grinder of a game as per usual. Joe played with great intensity throughout and I felt at points that it was heading his way, but it was a game of small margins in the end. It was good competitive tennis and look forward to our next bout.

Philip: Lydia played very well today. She was dictating most of the points and I felt like there wasn’t much I could do at times. It was a hard game in very damp conditions and the best person won on the day. I look forward to playing you again!

Philip: This was a terribly wet day, with the balls soaking up all the moisture and the court being artificial clay; it caused the bounce to be much lower. However, moving that aside; overall it was still a decent game, and there were long rallies throughout. Looking forward to our next game, hopefully in better conditions.
