Richard: Perfect day for playing tennis. We had some great rallies that could have gone either way. The sun became a factor in the later stages which makes a change from the wind and rain.

Richard: I think we both deserve a medal for playing on such a slippy surface. It really was a close call, I couldn't manage to take advantage of going ahead in the sets but that was also down to some heroic effort by Tai who never stopped running. Cobwebs well and truly blown off.
