Jamal: Thanks Arjun! The score really doesn't tell the whole story as Arjun missed a lot of break points as I struggled, especially in the first set, with my serve. If Arjun, who has some very clever shots & great variety, had converted more of his break points it would have been a very different score. Great to see May again as she prepared to do battle with Katarina just before we finished! Also great to see my nemesis Flora as she too prepared for her match!

Arjun: Always great to play against Jamal, he’s got a fast first serve, great slices, and a volley that never misses! Thanks for the match, good luck for the rest of the league!☀️

Jamal: Another great three-setter with Jing like last year's epic. My serve was truly appalling today (13 double faults in the first set alone) as I really, really struggled with Jing's massive serve and ultra-aggressive heavy hitting game. I'm pleased I made a match of it as it wasn't looking likely at 2-6, 0-3 but it was great fun. Congratulations Jing on a fully deserved win!

Ally: Really enjoyed this. Good quality tennis. Battle of the topspin forehands. Indeed in the third set Artur ran out of steam but in his defence he’d worked a night shift! Look forward to playing again.

Artur: great game with Ally- top quality shots in first two sets. I had my chances to close the game in the second set but this is tennis :) Unfortunately I run out of steam on the third one and was not much challenge to Ally :(
